Well its that lovely time of year ... fair time, yup fairs are popping up everywhere, and our local agricultural fair was this past weekend so we have been very busy. so I will rewind it back we had a mock rabbit showing at our local Tractor supply as our 4Hers practiced the showmanship steps in rabbit showing so please check back for that post as I forgot to post it but this past week we welcomed at new rabbit to the meadows.......

Welcome Thumper.

a buck , but as he was rehomed with us to work more with him, we are no sure what he is, as you can tell he still has some growing he could do based on his hind legs and paws, but for 5 months old he already weighs in at almost 5 pound, so if you know what he could be comment and let us know. also if you can identify the color of his fur let us know, look for more about thumper on his page.

Adams Agricultural fair as I said was this past weekend and it was fun, we pitched a tent and the whole family camped out at the fair grounds, and Mountain Peak Crafts lso had a booth. Charlotte managed to get 1st place in her collage of nature materials in the youth division, and 5th in her youth cutest pet photo contest.

Charlotte also entered Captain Jack in the youth junior buck and in the youth pet showing, only the youth pet 1st place gets a ribbon. So jack didn't place in the pet category. for the youth junior buck... Captain Jack got......

yup he came in 3rd place...... Way to go Captain Jack.

I entered Beans for adult Junior buck.... he came in .....

he too came in 3rd place.....

Ash was entered as a youth Junior Doe but that got changed when we discovered that Ash was not a doe but a buck see the mock showing post for more.... so HE got....

yup 3rd place....

Luna she was also entered by me and I think you can guess what she got but just in case...

yup 3rd place as well....

Thumper we had gotten just before the fair so he didn't get entered, and this time we didn't take Bugs, but I am sure that they will be at the next fair but all four that we entered go 3rd place which isn't bad for their first show.... so next show is the Berkshire county 4H fair... Aug, 20th and then the franklin county fair in September....oh boy fair season means we will be busy but fun to see the awards. well since the rabbits are al settled in for the night at home now so are we and some much needed rest. the meadows thanks everyone for your support and for an amazing Agricultural fair.... cant wait till next fair and the next years' aggie fair.......
