Mini Lops
About the Mini Lop
Mini lops were created to make a smaller version of a German Lop, which could get to be 8 pounds. through selective breeding a smaller lop was created, and called "mini" to make it more publicly appealing. in 1974 they first appeared at and ARBA ( American Rabbit Breeders Association) show, but they were not recognized until 1980. Mini lops have an average weight of 6.5 pounds, and are currently a medium size rabbit as Holland lops are smaller in weight. Mini lops make for great show and pet rabbits, as they are generally fairly friendly and extremely playful.
